The Great Gatsby

Recently, I purchased a beautiful black embroidered dress from Anthropologie, it reminded me of The Great Gatsby movie where the costume designers Miuccia and Martin did such an amazing job. The interpretation was based on 1920s silhouette. I recently spotted many silhouettes inspired by this era with a touch of modernism.

Talking about Anthropologie, I love their window and store displays. They sell women’s apparel and home decor items and they are whimsical and simply beautiful. As we all know Anthro places high emphasis on window and store display and they give you a very stirring experience.
Little bit about Anthro displays: the windows generally change every 6-8 weeks and the display trend boards/concepts are designed by home office. These trend boards/concepts are provided to stores and display coordinator starts working on the inspiration and installation. Here are few pictures from central Jersey store, which I visited recently. Soon I will share pictures from NYC Anthro also.
